Hi. I'm Dr. Brad Hylan.
We are looking for dentists to join our association and help treat emergency patients. If you are in a hurry, see How It Works. Or... Please continue reading to learn my story and find out why this can be one of the most important things you can do! I got started in practice in October 1979. Since day one, I've always accepted emergency patients. Why Treat Emergency Patients? Because they need someone to really care for them! They need a little extra TLC (Tender Loving Care). And when you do this, you wind up with raving fans! This is because emergency patients have often stayed away from the dentist for years or have had previous bad experiences. I found if we could treat these patients gently, with kindness and compassion, and create a great experience... We'd wind up having raving fans who would refer their family, friends, and relatives. FYI: For anyone who is interested. Our new patients numbers are off the chart!!! They always have been. I am happy to share our numbers. The more you give of yourself, the more you get! Here's a happy patient who originally came in as an emergency patient.
A lot of my colleagues see emergency patients as an interruption to their schedule plus I have heard people say, I don't want patients with a low dental IQ.
We love emergency patients. Emergency patients do not have to be an interruption, and a low dental IQ can change. F.Y.I. We do not see walk-ins. Our emergency patients are scheduled patients.
Worst case, on a super busy day seeing an emergency might involve an X-Ray, a prescription, and rescheduling them. However, that rarely happens. Most of the time when we see an emergency patient we're starting a crown, an endo, or extraction followed by an implant. If they have really neglected their mouth, we may wind up removing multiple teeth followed by a full mouth restoration. Imagine how the patient in the picture below felt about her mouth. It makes me sad when I see this. Nobody wants their mouth to look like this. We addressed her concerns.
We treated her gently, with kindness, and respect. And look what happened. I guarantee you this changed her life for the better!
This is still in the temporary stage. We did not take these pictures to present them in a lecture. But I think you get the point. And if you don't do implants, perhaps you could have made a denture. Accepting emergency patients has been a very satisfying part of my practice. Over the years, we have done 1000's of these cases all because we wanted to help people having an emergency. Because we've done 1000's of these cases, we have great experience in knowing what works and what doesn't. So don't waste your time and make mistakes like I did earlier in my career. If you'd like to see more new patients ... Call me directly. Dr. Brad Hylan DMD (216) 973-1225 (Mobile) [email protected] P.S.
