If you were to ask me "why" I have wanted to help people with emergencies ... 

Because it feels good to help another person and because there is a huge need to help emergency patients.  

Sure, we help people when we clean their teeth.  Or, do a filling. Or high end cosmetics.  But it's not the same.  

Emergency patients are always so grateful and appreciative.  

It's kind of like taking a splinter out of a puppy's toe.
